What do Jarome Iginla, Tim Thomas, and Lebron James have in common? They have all included yoga as an important part of their training programs! And it’s not just them; the entire Vancouver Canucks hockey team is practicing yoga as a part of their off ice training this year. Hockey players, figure skaters, high school football teams and swimmers alike are all beginning to practice yoga because of the competitive edge it gives them in their sport. Yoga is particularly popular for goaltenders aiming to improve their performance and health.
A unique yoga program will be tailor-made to the sport and position that your child plays. Private lessons are available as well as small and large group sessions. If you play a team sport, team yoga can be arranged. Heather is available to provide yoga classes out of your space.
